Velle homeschooling tutors in Pretoria is a remote learning support program for high school students(grade9-grade12) in South Africa, Pretoria, and surrounding areas.
Velle stands for:
Virtual Educator Led Learning Experience
Velle homeschooling was created from a need to help underprivileged children, together with their parents by providing them with educational support during the pandemic and going forward.
It is estimated that South African school students have lost 43% of their school days in 2020, this is one of the drives of us providing support.
We know and understand that homeschooling is new to many of us South Africans and the transition is hard for both parents and learners, this is the reason for being here to support.
How will we support learners?
We work with a great team of 80 Unisa-qualified e-tutors, who were specially trained to offer virtual support for our learners.
The skills that the tutors were taught are an advanced way of student learning which has an open, distance, and learning approach.
To register a learner, you simply visit www.velle.co.za and submit an application. Learners will also be able to join support groups so that they are not alone on their learning path. Another option is to text the word “woza” to 43366.
Due to data costs and access, we have developed a fun way for learners to communicate and get support through Telegram, a mobile communication app similar to Whatsapp which learners simply download from their respective devices.
Is the tutoring service online only?
No, there is an option to have physical facilitation for different areas but you need to contact us for this service as currently there’s Covid-19 so we are limiting physical contact
